The START STRONG process is designed to guide you as you follow Jesus, connect to the church, discover your purpose, and serve others.
LOVE GOD. LOVE PEOPLE.
“’You shall LOVE THE LORD your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength.’ This is the first commandment. The second is this: You shall LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR as yourself.” There is no other commandment greater than these.” – Mark 12:30-31

WHAT WE BELIEVE
We Believe . . .
• The Holy Bible to be the inspired Word of God.
• In the oneness of God – that there are three manifestations of the one God: Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.
• The name by which God is known is Lord Jesus Christ.
• In the virgin birth, death, burial, and bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ.
• In the necessity of baptism in water in Jesus’ name according to Acts 2:38, and the infilling of the Holy Ghost according to Acts 2:4. This constitutes the new birth spoken of by the Lord Jesus Christ in St. John 3:5.
• In living a holy, consecrated, and sanctified life.
• In the translation of the saints, commonly known as the Rapture (I Thess. 4:13-17).
WHAT TO EXPECT
Mt. Zion Church is full of activity throughout the week, but most people encounter us for the first time during one of our weekly worship services.
Our services at 10 a.m. Sundays are probably closest to what you may have experienced if you attended church when you were younger. It’s when you’ll typically find men and women dressed in their “Sunday best,” but no particular attire is expected or required.
You’ll want to arrive early to get oriented. The tabernacle, or sanctuary, opens at 9 a.m. Some people arrive early to be seated. Services typically last around 90 Minutes. You will be greeted with warmth and love from genuine greeters and assisted by incredible ushers that feel just like family.
Mt. Zion Church also gathers as a family on Wednesdays, and it’s an ideal place to bring your family at the end of your day. Dress is come as you are, and the services focus on teaching from God’s Word. Everything typically wraps up by 8:30 p.m.
The worship music you’ll hear in our services is a blend of old hymns you may remember from childhood, today’s contemporary worship music and everything in between – all delivered in a spirit of excitement about who God is and what He’s done for us. Teachings and sermons will convince you of the incredible reality of God’s love and challenge you to live for Him – not only during our worship times together, but throughout the week.
When you come, we have a rear entry door off the parking lot for easy entry into the sanctuary and we also have the main entrance around the front of the building. Signage will be throughout the grounds to assist you with direction.
We know you’ll enjoy your time with us, and we look forward to welcoming you into our congregation.
